Samail Mosque

Location: Samail, Sultanate of Oman

Built Area: 2,200 m²

Design Year: 2024

Service: Religious

Architectural Features: Islamic

Concept:
This project is deeply rooted in local architecture and heritage, harmonizing with the native soil and traditional clay (sarooj). The mosque’s geometric design intentionally omits arches and domes, authentically reflecting Oman’s rich history and distinctive architectural identity. The decorative elements highlight local triangular motifs enriched with handcrafted details, while the finials atop the square minarets include one shaped like a mast, inspired by the traditional Omani sword—a proud symbol carried by the people of Oman.
