Al Wahab Mosque

Location: In the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman.

The shape of the mosque was linked to the land of Oman and its history for the architectural design of the project. The treated clay (sarooj) appeared as a finishing material belonging to the land of Oman and its heritage.

The dominant cylindrical shape of the mosque, which is associated with the architecture of the eastern region, forms the center of the main mosque space.

The overall appearance was treated to reflect the traditional prayer style characteristic of the architecture of that arid region, which is bordered by desert sands. The small narrow triangles and openings carved into the mosque's facade are reminiscent of traditional Omani architecture.
