AL KHOUDH 6 MOSQUE
Location: Wadi Al-Khoudh, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
The project takes a form that responds to the site requirements, as it is located on a hill overlooking Wadi Al-Khoudh, where water often flows.
The entrance to the project is from two sides: from the right, a lower entrance (at the base of the hill), and from the left, a higher entrance (at the top of the hill), with a panoramic view opening towards the wadi's stream. Therefore, the mosque takes a circular form, with a series of columns arranged along the outer perimeter, creating spaces and a green belt that surrounds the square mosque, protecting it from the sun's rays. The mosque features clear geometric shapes, alternating between the circle and the square, with the Qibla line defined by the path connecting the minaret at the mosque's prayer niche and the linear ceiling opening on one side, and the graceful metal bridge ending at a courtyard and staircase leading down to the wadi.
The lower entrance (women's prayer hall, ablution facilities, and imam's house) and the upper left entrance (commercial shops and ablution facilities) lead to the mosque through panoramic stairs surrounding it
