Concept:

The project is based on creating a central space where three building blocks meet, forming the entrance area. Three paths for entry and movement come together here, with a water feature and fountains in the middle, and wide entrances to the project.

The building has two main blocks connected by a wall that wraps around its axis in the center. This wall represents the ongoing process of education and training. It is decorated with carvings inspired by Dhofar’s history, using symbols from the Musnad script. These carvings show the deep knowledge and education in the region. They appear on the wrapped wall, as well as on the outside roofs and inside walls of the building.

The color of the building’s walls comes from Dhofar’s soil, covered in a clay tone with long horizontal lines. Between the wall sections, there are glass panels that let natural light in and create a feeling of openness between inside and outside. The wall also protects the building from the sun, reducing energy use and cooling needs. This is done by carefully positioning the building and shading its openings based on the sun’s direction.
